These are the first images of the red-and-white 10330 McLaren MP4/4 Formula 1 car, which will be unveiled in March alongside a miniature of legendary driver Ayrton Senna.
This year’s first LEGO Icons vehicle is based on a true classic, the McLaren MP4/4 Formula One car, and is constructed out of 693 parts. Beginning on March 1st, the 1988 Bolide will once again be available for purchase for a UVP of 79,99 euros.

Beginning on March 1, 2024, there will be an F-1 car in the LEGO Rennstall, marking the first time in the history of the LEGO Icons vehicles that were previously known as Creator Expert vehicles. One unique feature of a LEGO Icons vehicle set is the inclusion of a minifigure featuring Ayrton Senna, the 1988 Brazilian Formula 1 World Champion. The figure is exquisitely rendered, with an embroidered torso, embroidered hose, and embroidered helmet. However, the miniature figure is mostly decorative and does not fit the vehicle exactly.

Fazit
It’s hard to believe that no Formula 1 car has yet been included in the LEGO Icons vehicle circle, but that will change in March 2024. In every case, the McLaren MP4/4 from 1988 was chosen as a true legend deserving of being implemented. The LEGO set pays close attention to the details and dives right into the aerodynamic shape. Fortunately, LEGO has not abandoned the Slick-Reifen and has instead invested in a new part. In an era of magnificent LEGO colors, the white-rot seems a bit drab, but it works perfectly as the model. Surprisingly, the Icons-Fahrzeug also includes a miniature of world champion Ayrton Senna, honoring the exceptional driver.
